About LeafLock PDF
LeafLock PDF is a set of tools for everyday PDF work: merging, splitting, rotating, compressing, signing, filling forms, recognizing text in scans and more. Every tool runs inside your web browser, on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to us.
Why it exists
Most online PDF services work by uploading your file to their servers, processing it there and sending a result back. That means a copy of your contract, tax return, medical letter or ID scan sits, at least for a while, on a computer you don’t control, run by a company you may know little about.
For a lot of documents, that’s a risk you shouldn’t have to take just to merge two files or remove a page. Modern browsers are capable enough to do this work locally, so LeafLock PDF does it locally.
How it’s built
- Processing happens in your browser. When you choose a file, it’s read by code running on your device. The result is created on your device and saved straight to your downloads. Nothing about the file is sent anywhere.
- The browser enforces it. Every page carries a Content-Security-Policy that only allows connections back to leaflockpdf.com, and the site has no code that sends files there. You can check this yourself; How your files stay private shows how.
- Everything comes from our own site. The supporting files the tools need, such as fonts for rendering pages and the text-recognition model used by OCR PDF, are served from leaflockpdf.com, not from third-party servers.
- No account. You don’t need to sign up or sign in to use the tools.
- No tracking ads. We don’t run advertising or third-party tracking scripts. Showing ads that follow you around the web would contradict the reason the site exists.

LeafLock PDF is for anyone who works with documents they’d rather not hand to a stranger:
- People handling personal paperwork, such as bank statements, leases, medical records and identity documents.
- Freelancers and small businesses sending contracts, invoices and proposals.
- Professionals with a duty of confidentiality, such as lawyers, accountants and healthcare staff.
- Anyone who simply prefers that their files stay on their own device.
Organizations that need the tools to run entirely inside their own network can use the Business edition.
